CYBER-ARK RANKED IN THE 2006 DELOITTE TECHNOLOGY FAST 500 EMEA
Leader in Digital Vault Technology Recognized as One of the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in the Region
DEDHAM, Mass. - November 28, 2006 - Cyber-Ark® Software, the information security software company that develops and markets Digital Vaults for securing and managing privileged passwords and highly-sensitive information, today announced that it has been ranked on the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program covers public and private companies across EMEA, and is based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001-2005.
Fueling Cyber-Ark's rapid growth has been the demand for Privileged Password Management (PPM) solutions, which has never been greater. Stringent governmental regulations and new information privacy legislation, along with a slew of highly publicized network breaches, are forcing organizations to safeguard administrative or privileged passwords as they could become a security threat. Until recently, organizations had no way to effectively secure, manage, update and control privileged user accounts, including generic accounts like Administrator on Wintel platforms, root on Unix systems, Cisco Enable, DBA (database administrator) passwords and hard-coded passwords that are found in application scripts throughout an enterprise, the companies added.
Cyber-Ark has used this demand for PPM to steadily expand its global and technological footprint. Through international offices, as well as the launch of Enterprise Password Vault™ 4.0 this year, the company has significantly improved its ability to build and sustain traction in emerging markets and is primed to continue in its position as the leading PPM provider.
"It's a tremendous honor to be named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list, and a significant achievement for all of us here at Cyber-Ark," said Udi Mokady, Founder and CEO of Cyber-Ark Software. "A significant number of Fortune 1000 companies across a range of industries, from banking and finance to energy and pharmaceutical sectors, are investing in Cyber-Ark's Vaulting Technology™ to manage and secure their most sensitive data throughout the information lifecycle. Inclusion in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 reflects the commitment we have made to our customers and the increased demand for a technology that can assist them in achieving their compliance and security goals with respect to privileged accounts."
"Because Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA measures sustained revenue growth over five years, being one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in EMEA is an impressive achievement," said Eric Morgain, partner in charge of Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA program. "Cyber-Ark deserves a lot of credit for its remarkable growth."
Based on Cyber-Ark's patented Vaulting Technology, Enterprise Password Vault provides a safe haven where all privileged users' passwords can be securely archived, transferred, shared, and managed by authorized users. Multiple security layers provide the most secure solution for managing passwords in an enterprise environment, which addresses Sarbanes-Oxley audit and compliance requirements and prevents usage of the same passwords across multiple systems, non-expired passwords, and "easy to remember" passwords. A detailed audit trail, disaster-recovery ready solutions, and granular Access-Control mechanisms help make Enterprise Password Vault the information security software selection for a number of large enterprise and compliance and regulation heavy organizations.
In addition to ranking on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500, Cyber-Ark ranked number 14 on the 2006 Israel Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in Israel.
Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications
The Technology Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's EMEA Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 2001 operating revenues of at least €50,000 and 2005 operating revenues of at least €800,000. Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in EMEA and must be a "technology company," defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify.
