CYBER-ARK'S INTER-BUSINESS VAULT® HONORED WITH "AHEAD OF THE CURVE" AWARD
Lehman Brothers' Success With Secure Collaboration Provides Compelling Case Study; Judges Note That New Approach Addresses Weakness of Perimeter Security
Dedham, MA-September 10, 2003 - Cyber-Ark® Software Inc., the information security software company that invented and markets Vaulting Technology, today announced that its Inter-Business Vault is a winner in the CSOInformer "Ahead of the Curve" Customer Success Story award program. CSOinformer is a monthly research newsletter focused on emerging information security trends and its award program honors the top examples of customer success with innovative security solutions. More than 60 submissions were judged by an independent group of industry experts.
Cyber-Ark Software was awarded a finalist position for its Inter-Business Vault (IBV) product in use at Lehman Brothers. Based on Cyber-Ark's innovative Vaulting Technology, IBV creates safe havens for protecting and sharing information across the extended enterprise. Lehman Brothers uses Vaulting Technology to lock down sensitive and confidential information while keeping it accessible to approved internal and external parties.
"Cyber-Ark's Vaulting Technology was cited by our judges as an innovative way to secure collaboration and increase accessibility to sensitive data, while maintaining a low cost of ownership," said Jim Reavis, editor of CSOInformer. Lars Neupart, a noted European security consultant, added "Vaulting is a new approach to deal with some of the challenges that inevitably come with a perimeter security strategy."
"Cyber-Ark's Vaulting Technology combines top-notch security, flexibility and out-of-the-box transparency to help companies like Lehman Brothers achieve security and business goals with a single, cost-effective solution," said Alon Cohen, chairman, CEO and founder of Cyber-Ark. "It's an honor to be recognized by the "Ahead of the Curve" judges. The award underscores our leadership within the security products marketplace, especially as we advance secure collaboration options for our customers."
Large organizations typically share their most sensitive information ranging from product designs to contracts via slow couriers, delivery services, or expensive leased lines or Value-added Networks (VANs). Many have moved to the Internet, but struggle to integrate a diverse group of point security products and connectivity solutions that only secure a portion of vital communications. Integrating, using and managing all of these solutions can be expensive, time-consuming and often overwhelming to everyday business users. Built on Cyber-Ark's patented Vaulting Technology, IBV eliminates the traditional tradeoff between security and accessibility. Organizations have everything required to both protect and share information across the extended enterprise without compromising security, accessibility or performance-at a fraction of the cost of disparate security solutions or VANs.
The Inter-Business Vault not only provides a safe haven, regardless of overall network security, but adds the capability for information to be stored and shared securely over the Internet. It enables customers, business partners, shareholders, and remote offices to transparently distribute, collect, transfer, and share files as if they were on the same network. In essence, it provides a seamless, LAN-like experience over the Internet from a security, performance and accessibility point of view.
