- Deliver the rock-solid security your organization's most powerful passwords deserve: Cyber-Ark's patented Vaulting Technology utilizes a fully integrated model of critical security layers, interwoven to meet the highest security requirements
- Create audit reports required by Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI and more
- Instantly change passwords for thousands of servers, network devices, databases and applications, including scripts and parameter files
- Reduce workload by automating generic and administrative password changes on the managed systems
Comparing the Benefits of Privileged Password and Identity Management
In order to understand the core benefits of Privileged Password and Identity Management, it is first necessary to review how each functions. Many organizations use Identity Management Software in order to:
- Define what systems an employee can have access to (also called provisioning)
- Reset passwords on target systems as needed
In other words, whenever an employee is hired, fired, or promoted, the Identity Management Software re-provisions that employee's password access. If an employee forgets a password, Identity Management Systems can also reset it, but the Identity Management software does not store any passwords. Once the secret code is provisioned or reset the Identity Management Software is no longer utilized; employees always access the target system directly.
